Access Keys and Accessibility Policy

Access keys have been included to assist users with disabilities using assistive technologies when navigating their way through the web site. Essentially keyboard shortcuts, access keys provide quick and easy access to common pages without the need for a mouse. Text and text equivalents (such as ALT tags) are used as much as possible.

Aligned in the left hand column are text links which show you the letter or number of the Accesskey in brackets if you hover over the link. The same list is just below this text. These Accesskeys will be consistent throughout the site. Different browsers handle Access Keys in their own unique way. Consult the list for your browser and instructions on how to use Access Keys. The Links section of this site is also Accesskey enabled but the links will take you off this site.

Content: We have strived to make our content easy to understand. We want to communicate our ideas to all our visitors, whether they have extensive knowledge of the Internet and Real Estate, or none at all.

Download times: We have graphics on our site of various sizes, alt attributes are used on all images. We also utilize style sheets on our pages to trim our page sizes and allow users to control the sites' appearance.

Plug-ins: We try to avoid the use of Flash, Shockwave and embedded sounds but the Local Weather feature on each page is an off site source which uses Flash.

Navigation: Our navigation is consistent, we use text links and described links. We keep to the simple as much as possible. IFrames, which can make using, navigating and bookmarking a site difficult, are used for the house listings. IFrames essentially pull the content of another webpage into a page on our site. Alternative navigation and contact access is available on each listing for those not using a Frames Capable Browser. Links that take you off the Rhonda Grant site will always open in a new window.
